Rooms Currently Available
There are 2 rooms currently available for new members to apply to live in, details below. The members who live in these rooms will live as part of the shared house. Both rooms are next to each other, on the first floor of the main house, facing south/ south west. You can see pictures of them below.
- Room 1 is £298.53 pcm plus bills and is 19 sqm or (200 sq ft)
- Room 2 is £269.64 pcm plus bills and is 12 sqm (or 130 sq ft), with an additional 4 sqm high storage platform (43 sq ft)
More about arrangements in the Shared House
Within the shared house accommodation there are currently 4 bedrooms (plus 2 more to come later); 3 toilets (which includes one with a bath and shower and one with a shower) and a shared kitchen. Arrangements regarding cooking, washing up, shared cleaning and all the other usual details of house discussions are a matter for those who share the house, not a matter for the wider co-op. At the moment within the shared house, utility bills are shared equally and food-purchasing and housework are all shared.
The Shared House group of members plus an other member who lives in Attic, take turns to cook and eat an evening meal together. People do their own thing for breakfasts and lunches. They share a kitchen and buy food collectively, which includes meat, fish, dairy & eggs for those who want to eat them. Everyone takes turns cooking vegan food, as this is the Shared House default for shared meals.
